In the rapidly changing world that we live in, technological advancements has made it imperative for us to learn, unlearn and relearn. We must be able to produce 21st Century Leaders armed with 21st Century skills. Educational institutions, hence, must be accessible to everyone in the country and emphasis will have to be made on lifelong learning.
Quality education should have the right mix of curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. Both Intelligence Quotient and Emotional Quotient must be emphasized on and hence Socio-Emotional Learning, Design Thinking and Health and Hygiene must be well integrated into the curriculum.
Gone are the days of looking at each subject independently. Today STEM and STEAM Education is revolutionizing the paradigms of education and integrating subjects. Curriculum doesn’t alone focus on single subjects or topics but on a platform of multi-disciplinary topics with the Art playing a pivotal role in the form of Art Integration in Education.
We at Gyan Kunj Public School, aim to provide a holistic curriculum for the all-round intellectual, physical and emotional well-being of our students so that they could forge into the 21st century with the right skill set.
At the end I’d like to say “As the world we live in changes to embrace tech futures, how and what we teach in our education system will also be reshaped to keep up to date with the growing demands of the 21st century”
